FIRST POST!
For my first post i just want to tell you a little about my self and what you can expect to see on my blog. I mainly want to use this blog to document my adventures, outdoor experiences and view on things going on in the world. I may throw in some reviews of gear i love and use often, and you can expect a lot of pictures!
A little about me
The outdoors is my life, to me being outdoors is more then just a pretty view and the warm sun, don't get me wrong nature is the most beautiful thing on this world, but to me it is how i connect with my spirituality, and where i find peace in this chaotic world. People who know me well know i do not like organized religion, but the outdoors is where i can connect with God, nature and truly be myself. As a lover of the outdoors hunting is a huge part of me. To me hunting is not about the kill but about living and self reliance. Its a beautiful thing to be able to be self reliant and know that you can provide for your self if it came down to it. Hunting also provides a lot of opportunities to see and experience things most people never get to experience. I have been up close and personal with animals in there natural state, sunrises from the mountains and lakes, smelled the mountains first thing in the morning after a rain storm and there isn't anything better. My family is also a huge part of my life, my husband is my best friend and we have two little fur babies (okay they just think they are little) I have been married for almost four years and we have been together for a total of seven years so far. Last year we purchased our own home together and have enjoyed our small little town we call home. We love cooking together and coming up with new recipes, he makes a great taste tester and always helps me take my food to the next level. He is my number one support system and always the one i turn to. I am lucky to have found him. Our puppies Shiloh (5) and Waylon (2) are one of kind dogs, they are full of personality and I'm pretty sure they think they are our children, which we encourage lol.
As i continue to post i'll share more things about the life i so blessed to experience.
Stay tuned for the next blog post about my backpacking trip to Coyote Gulch!
